Just a girl who loves all things graphic design & comms

For the third annual Boston Civic Summit, I produced all event collateral including stickers, t-shirts, tote bags, agenda, day of signage, stage back drop, photo op back drop, and the welcome signage. Additionally, I created all social media graphics for speaker announcements and event announcements.

With the theme of the 2026 Civic Summit being We The People, the branding focused on the history of Boston and the faces that fill our streets. I brought in the original font of the Constitution to act as the foundation of our logo. As we were working with this summit in redefining that original, narrowed definition of “people,” I crossed it out and brought in a collage style font to show the diversity in the word “people,” the diversity in the people of Boston. I accompanied this with a primarily blue and white duotone treatment of the faces of everyday Bostonians and historic sites. However, to nod to our country’s colors, I brought in a subtle red duotone treatment on the U.S.S Constitution so as to have red, white, and blue as the base but modern and subtle. I brought in an old map of Boston from 1807 to act as the foundation for the whole brand. This layered with the faces of Bostonians represented the historic roots of our city. It is a thread that runs through every street, an underlying constant to the everyday life of Boston. It is the backdrop for which we live our lives. I also brought in a layering of textures to help age the graphic to give off a vintage, historic document feeling. All in all, the branding is a mix of our new and our old. It is a mix of our history, our present, and where we can go in our future.
