Mayor’s Youth Sports Grants

In 2024, the Office of Neighborhood Services launched the Mayor’s Youth Sports Grants, supporting nonprofit organizations that provide sports programming to Boston Public Schools students. I was brought onto the project to develop the creative identity for the campaign.

I designed the key visual using the City of Boston’s branded colors and typefaces, while introducing elements that reinforced the sports theme. To add visual interest and tie the design to athletics, I incorporated a subtle golf-ball-like texture in the background and layered in cutouts of sports equipment entering from the right-hand side, creating a dynamic, energetic composition.

Beyond the key visual, I designed a custom Google Form header that extended the visual identity, ensuring the grant application experience remained cohesive and recognizable. Once the grants were distributed, I also created a carousel social media post highlighting the recipient nonprofits by neighborhood, translating the campaign across multiple channels and maximizing audience engagement.
