In fall 2025, I collaborated with the Digital and Project Manager for the Office of Civic Organizing to produce a social-first video promoting the Spooky Streets Block Party Grants. The goal of the project was to increase awareness and engagement by meeting audiences where they already are—on trend-driven social platforms.
I partnered with the Digital and Project Manager to develop the creative concept, intentionally leveraging a recognizable social media trend to amplify reach. We selected the ghost/pumpkin head trend—a recurring seasonal format that resurfaced in fall 2025—as a playful, accessible way to draw attention to the grant opportunity while maintaining a clear call to action.
My role focused on creative direction and production. I helped shape the visual approach, collaborated on determining key shots, and served as the videographer during filming. Throughout post-production, I remained involved as a creative collaborator, providing feedback and approvals to ensure the final edit aligned with the original vision.
Post-production, copywriting, and publishing were handled by the Digital and Project Manager, with the video shared on the Office of Civic Organizing’s Instagram account.
