I am a digital media specialist working as the digital communications specialist for Mayor Michelle Wu’s Community Engagement Cabinet. I have a background in broadcast journalism, digital productions and social media. As the communications assistant, I am responsible for carrying the voice of the Community Engagement Cabinet through Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram. Through our 17 neighborhood newsletters, I keep our residents informed of neighborhood news, initiatives and events. I am also the Cabinet’s lead graphic designer, video producer and video editor.

I grew up as a military child following my dad’s career wherever it sent us and boy did it send us places. Before the age of 18 I had moved seven times. The Northeast was always a beacon for home and I followed the beacon all the way to Boston.

In another life, or dimension, I am pretty sure I was a mermaid because I love water: drinking it, swimming in it or even just admiring the complexities of bodies of water with a nice margarita in my hand. I could never be landlocked and I have never lived landlocked, (thankfully). I need a coast at least an hour away or else I begin to feel claustrophobic. 

Music is a large piece in my life’s puzzle. I inherited the music lovers gene from my dad. I pull a lot of inspiration from artists I admire: from their lyrics and their graphics. I love finding ways to incorporate this passion into my work. 

Life in general is also my muse. Which is like the most writerly cliché I could have ever written, but I find beauty in the most mundane things and I feel compelled to capture the beauty on the page or through my lens. The universe is our teacher and I love endlessly discovering alongside her.

When I am not consumed by my work, I am cooking a delicious meal for myself and my partner, in the pit at a concert or slowly reading novels between endless hours playing the Sims 4 with my fur babies Riley & Mochi. ♥️
